Today was one of those days that people from all parts of my world called upon me to help them.
And all the while, I am trying to get ready for the Art Festival committee meeting tomorrow night.
Plus my house is feeling very chaotic, it is even driving me a little bit crazy.
I need a day to just sort out where things belong.
Although I did a little bit of that tonight, just the beginning of what needs doing. But my living room area does look better for the meeting tomorrow.
Pulled in so many directions!
Not sure which way was up at times.
Or which way to go to get things done in an orderly fashion.
But I did get many things done, and headed people on the corrected or right paths for them to move forward.
The 8am phone call from the handy man to tell me that the locksmith would call me to find out when he can come to Commonwheel to fix the lock was really unnecessary. “Did I wake you?” he asked. I am not a morning person, and I was just barely awake. And he knows darn well when the Gallery opens!
A call from someone who can’t get Yahoo! to quit billing them and remove the email account had me try and do deeper research for her. We thought this was finished two months ago! And she can’t get anyone on the phone, or gets somewhere and a voice comes on and then hangs up on her.
Spent a couple of hours helping another client figure out things on her computer, show me what she needs for a new business card, and get her hosting account and new domain name set-up. Now I have lots to do for her as she enters a new phase of her life. Sold her School, and going into private practice. I am enjoying helping her along this path. She writes very well, and I am sure she will be inspired to write more when she can blog and share some of her healing knowledge with many people.
I have two things to attend to before the night is over to feel ready for my Festival meeting and have a beginning for the 40th Year Retrospective Gallery show that happens this April, that I had agreed to coordinate in last July, just before all the flooding happened.
Some days I wonder when I will be able to focus on doing things I really enjoy, like my own books . . .
Though I have to admit that helping people get published and web sites up are things I can see that demonstrate how I have a purpose in life that makes a difference in other people’s lives.
And I do get to hike tomorrow.
So I had better get the last two things finished up so I will enjoy the hike and not worry about what isn’t ready for the meeting tomorrow night.
Ready to see where this trail will take me.
Sunshine is predicted and I am ready to enjoy fresh air and and some beautiful views away from my office.
